Welcome to The Nest

The Nest, became part of FUMC Youth and Children's Center in 2019.  We are members of ACSI, American Christian Schools International.  We were award the 21CCLC Grant as a Faith Based Organization.

We have two sites; Carrabelle Site, at 1581 Hwy 98, and Eastpoint Site is located at the 317 Patton Dr. Both sites are open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The Program is provided at no charge to parents/adult family members.

The 21st CCLC program provides academic enrichment opportunities during non school hours for children. The program is designed to help students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, in addition it offers students enrichment activities to complement their regular academic programs. The program also offers literacy and other educational services to participating children. 

The Nest is a 21st Century Community Learning Center, administered by the First United Methodist Church Youth and Children Center, and open to students in grades Pre-K-8th grades from the Franklin County School Pre-K -12. We have an exciting year planned with project-base learning activities and character education. The project based activities will present hands on opportunities to use reading, math, science and visual and performing

We also have scheduled parent involvement and family literacy night activities.

Bus transportation is provided to both sites following the final bell.

Applications are available at Eastpoint and Carrabelle ,The Nest site.  We also welcome students from both the ABC school and First Baptist School.
